About Legal Career Coaches

The Voll Group, the parent company of Voll Recruiting, a legal recruiting firm that helps lawyers make lateral moves between law firms. Voll built the directory because lawyers looking for a career coach had no complete list of coaches who work with lawyers to start from. The site is also marketing for Voll, in the four places listed under the next heading.

It does not, directly. No coach pays to be listed, to rank higher or to be verified, and the site sells no advertising. The Voll Group pays for the site, and Voll Recruiting markets its own lateral-move recruiting on it in exactly four places:

• the line at the foot of every page that says who runs the site;
• this page;
• one box on the job search and lateral moves page;
• the guide Career coach or legal recruiter?, which also explains how recruiters are paid.

Those mentions are about moves between law firms only. Voll does not place lawyers in in-house roles.

Voll Recruiting is never listed as a coach. The directory lists no one who recruits or places lawyers for employers, including coaches and coaching firms that also recruit lawyers. Coaches who used to work as legal recruiters are listed like any other coach, and their profiles say so.

Coaches can claim their listing, correct it, ask to be added or ask us to remove it with the claim and correction form. It is free, and it is the only form on the site that sends us anything.
